"I would not be where I am today without Langara’s Design Formation program. In my six years of post-secondary education, my time at Langara is what I am most fond of and find most memorable.
The program consists of an amazing community of both instructors and peers who help build your portfolio, presentation skills, and confidence through iteration and critique. You can and will build lasting connections and friendships here. All the instructors have the experience, expertise, and passion to inspire students and help guide them in the right direction toward their careers. There’s something about Design Formation’s space and classrooms that really hones in on that workshop, get-your-hands-dirty feel, and it’s truly one of a kind.
While other programs may distill into specific concentrations to specialize in a field, Design Formation balances all aspects of design fundamentals—featuring graphic design, interiors and architecture, and experiential design—and makes them work in tandem to help students apply all of their learning across different projects. It’s especially helpful in landing a practicum through the program’s work-integrated learning."
