Description
Use the knowledge and skills gained in the Pattern Drafting Introduction/Foundations course (VFDE1002) to expand your pattern drafting skills. Focus on the skills necessary to draft a bodice, with the goal of a custom fit of each garment. Depending on how quickly a student works, sewing homework may be required. This course will provide a good foundation for those wishing to explore further studies in garment making and/or fashion design. Please bring your drafting kit used in the Introduction class, sewing notions, pen, pencil, eraser, tailor awl or tracing wheel and scotch tape to 1st class. Prerequisite Pattern Drafting Introduction (or equivalent). Students must have a solid foundation in sewing, as these skills are required to complete the finished project.
