Wordpress: Basic (VSB)

Learn the basics of creating a website with WordPress, a leading Content Management System (CMS) for many of today's websites. Topics include creating and editing web content and menus, exploring WordPress themes to change the appearance of your website, working with templates, discovering how to extend WordPress to suit your needs with plugins and widgets, and exploring the blogging features of WordPress. Students will also learn how to set up domain names and web hosting for a self-hosted WordPress website or whether to use the free WordPress.com. Practice outside of class is recommended.
