Medication Awareness

This class highlights some of the common groups of medications, their uses, mechanism of actions and side effects. You will discuss and then develop guidelines related to how the use of medications can influence the approach and application of massage techniques and modalities. At the end of this course you will be able to identify how the use of medications can influence a massage session and adopt modifications to ensure safety and effectiveness.Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Diploma in Registered Massage Therapy.
