Professional Development 1

Registered Massage Therapists require foundational knowledge of the professional, ethical, and legal responsibilities of Massage Therapy practice in British Columbia. Students examine professional accountability, regulatory requirements, and standards of practice established by CCHPBC. Through discussions and applied learning, students explore therapeutic communication, boundaries, consent, and person-centered relationships. Indigenous perspectives are integrated to support cultural safety, cultural humility, relational care, and ethical practice within diverse communities.

Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Diploma in Registered Massage Therapy.
