Description
This course teaches the students about the business side of the music industry. First the course teaches students how to market themselves, research prospective clients and projects and how to position themselves for that account. Making strategic demo CDs are covered as well as visual elements such as CD cover design. Next the course deals with pricing and estimating projects. Finally students learn about the legalities of the music industry from contracts to copyright of your work and licensing when doing covers or using samples of other artists work.

Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to Certificate in Digital Music Production.
