Langara College Diploma in Design Formation → 31 credits towards Capilano University Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication
Objective of the Agreement
Capilano University agrees to facilitate the admission of students who graduate from Langara College's Diploma in Design Formation program with not less than 66 credits, into Capilano University's Bachelor of Design in Visual Communication (BDVC) program, and will award successful applicants 31 credits to be applied towards the BDVC as set out below.
Capilano University and Langara College each agree that:

Graduates of Langara College's Design Formation program are required to apply to the BDVC program using normal application procedures for Capilano University.

Admission to Capilano University's BDVC program is not guaranteed. Applicants will be required to provide a transcript showing graduation from the Design Formation diploma program and attend a portfolio interview with the BDVC, Available seats depend on attrition within the BDVC and will vary year by year.

Langara College students who have graduated from the Design Formation program and are admitted into Capilano University's BDVC program will be awarded the following IDES/DSGN credits:

Based on these credits, these students will be exempted from the following IDES/DSGN courses at Capilano:

The BDVC program requires 24 elective credits. Langara College students may use any non-DSGN course obtained at Langara College to satisfy elective requirements, if applicable. Langara College students are not required to satisfy CapU Cap Core credit requirements.
Students who have completed ENGL 1127 at Langara College will receive credit for ENGL 100 at Capilano University. Any student who has not completed an equivalent to ENGL 100 will be required to complete this course prior to graduation.
