Application Instructions
The Professional Photography Diploma program accepts students for a starting intake of September each year. Langara begins accepting applicants as of October 1st. Please complete the following steps to be considered for entry to this program:
STEP 1
Review the Program Admission Requirements.
STEP 2
Apply to Langara through the Registrar and Enrolment Services Department. Specify "Professional Photography" in the application.
STEP 3
Work to complete your application as quickly as you can. The program fills quickly and applications are often closed at the beginning of the summer.
*If you do not have the prerequisites for CMNS1122, book a time to take the LET test. This academic course requires a minimum score of 3 on the LET (or one of the other prerequisites) in order to register.
STEP 4
Once your application is complete, or if you are a high school student, you will need to contact the Professional Photography department to set up an appointment for an online or in-person interview.
*Applicants must complete a successful interview with a program faculty member, at which time, applicants will demonstrate their ability to communicate effectively verbally, visually, and in writing. They will demonstrate the depth of their photographic knowledge by completing an assessment and presenting a portfolio of relevant work.
