Admission Requirements effective for students admitted to the Summer Semester 2021–Fall Semester 2022 Intakes:

Academic Requirements

Domestic Applicants: Complete a minimum of 30 credits and a 3.00 CGPA in required courses 
International Applicants: Complete a minimum of 30 credits and a 3.00 CGPA in required courses

English Language Requirement

  • ENGL 1123, 1127, or 1128

Additional Requirements

  • Resumé 
  • Letter of intent 
  • Valid Food Safe Level 1 or equivalent
  • Required courses (must be completed within two calendar years of entry to the diploma program):

    BIOL 1190
    BIOL 1215
    CHEM 1120
    CHEM 1220
    NUTR 2112

Applicant Notes

  • Resumé must indicate a minimum of six months of experience, preferably in a food service or nutrition-related field, paid or volunteer.
  • The letter of intent needs to be a maximum two pages that explains why the applicant wishes to be considered for the program.
  • Admission to a program does not guarantee registration into required courses.

Application Deadline

All required documents must be submitted by:

  • Fall semester: May 31
  • Spring Semester: October 31
  • Summer Semester: February 28

Late applications will be accepted if space is available.
