Career Opportunities
Study may lead to a Diploma or Associate of Arts degree. All courses are university-transferable, including transfer to universities that offer further study in Canadian studies. The program develops general abilities in research and writing, along with specific understanding of Canadian affairs useful in many careers. Canadian Studies tackles issues like racism, American domination, Quebec nationalism, aboriginal rights and workplace justice. As well, students will develop a capacity for independent, critical thought and related research and writing abilities.
Beyond a solid grounding in Canadian history and current affairs, the program develops student resources that will prove valuable in many careers, including:

- journalism
- public administration
- politics
- international affairs
