& Manchester for 3 weeks, studying Gothic literature & film and theatre history

-Globe Theatre production
-Tour of Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, site of the first Gothic novel
-Jack the Ripper tour
-West End production
-Dracula & Whitby Abbey tours
-Evening tour of haunted city beneath Edinburgh
-Museum of Victorian Science, Glaisdale, a functional Victorian lab
-Goth sites of Manchester, including Factory Records & Affleck's Emporium
-Street & musical performances on London's South Bank, Edinburgh & Manchester's Northern Quarter
-day trip to York, including visit to Yorkminster
-side trips to Stonehenge, Brighton (Fringe Theatre Festival), Pendle Hill (site of most famous witch trial in UK), Alnwick Castle (Harry Potter) & visits to other theatres & galleries encouraged

Who’s Eligible?
Anyone who has credit for first-year University/College English. Current
Langara students, alumni, students from other institutions, or anyone
curious about the Gothic.
