Regular Studies

Domestic Students
Applications for Regular Studies programs open 11 months before that start of each semester and admission is offered on a first-qualified, first-admitted basis. Domestic students can apply for many of our programs and courses as late as the first day of classes if space is available and there isn’t a program-specific deadline

Registration - Add/Drop/Withdraw

Regular Studies

Summer Semester 2025
March 11	Log into the Student Information System on or after March 11 to activate your registration date and time. Your registration time is pre-assigned and is not impacted by when you activate your registration time.
March 24	Summer Semester 2025 Registration Period 1 begins. Limited enrolment registration begins.
March 26	International and Indigenous student registration begins. Students in career and limited enrolment programs may register into courses that may have been unavailable to them during their scheduled registration time.
March 31	Arts and Science registration begins.
April 23	Students with an outstanding balance of $350 or more, students who do not meet prerequisite requirements, or students placed on academic suspension will be dropped from all their registered courses. Check your account balance by logging into the Student Information System.
April 24	Summer Semester 2025 Registration Period 2 begins. Tuition fees for courses added during this period are due immediately following registration. Courses added during this period will not be dropped for non-payment of fees. Students remain liable for any fees owing. Any outstanding balances on or after May 13, 2025 will be subject to compounding interest and late payment charges (see Fees Information). Non-refundable fees must be paid, even if you have dropped your courses. Check your account balance by logging into the Student Information System.
May 4	Last day to drop regular semester and May–Jun half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 100% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
May 7	Last day to drop May–Jun half semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
May 11	Last day to add courses without department permission. Last day to drop regular semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees).
May 12	First day for withdrawals for regular semester and May–Jun half-semester courses. Students who do not want to continue in a course must withdraw from the course and will not receive a refund. A "W" will appear beside the course on their transcript.
May 31	Last day (before 2100 hours) to withdraw from May–Jun half-semester courses.
June 7	Last day for special approval registration overrides for Summer Semester 2025. Any registration requests after this date must be submitted in writing to registration@langara.ca, by both the student and department chair.
June 22	Last day to drop Jun–Aug half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 100% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees). To drop from a Jun–Aug half-semester course you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.
June 23	Last day to add Jun–Aug half-semester courses. To add a Jun–Aug half-semester course, registration requests must be submitted in writing to registration@langara.ca (before 2100 hours), by both the student and department chair.
June 25	Last day to drop Jun–Aug half-semester courses (before 2100 hours) for a 70% tuition fee refund (less any non-refundable, non-transferable fees). To drop from a Jun–Aug half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.

July 19	Last day to withdraw from Jun–Aug half-semester courses. To withdraw from a Jun–Aug half-semester course, you must email registration@langara.ca prior to 2100 hours.

Fall Semester 2025

May 13	Interest and late payment charges will begin to be applied to outstanding accounts. Log into the Student Information System to check your student account for any outstanding fees.

International Students- Deferral Deadline

*Deferral Deadline for Fall 2025 is August 1, 2025. To defer your application to a future semester with a 100% transfer of fees, complete the Deferral Request Form before 2100 hours on August 1, 2025.
