I had started my academic journey off by enrolling in the criminology program at Langara back in 2022 after having just graduated from high school and knowing very little about post-secondary education as a whole. Both the College and the criminal justice faculty played a huge role in helping me adjust to the challenges that one might face when making the transition from a high school to a major post-secondary institution, those being issues with managing the workload, proper time management, or even something as simple as talking to your classmates. Today, I am working on completing a Bachelor of Arts in criminology at Simon Fraser University and starting a new and exciting career with the Canadian Armed Forces; and, I can confidently say that had it not been for my time at Langara I would not have had such a fun time getting to this point in my journey.
