As we approach National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara invites the college community to engage in opportunities to pause, learn, and reflect, and to deepen both our understanding of the legacy of residential schools in Canada and our collective responsibility to advance truth and reconciliation and lead with meaningful action.
Education Stations
The education stations offer a series of informational vignettes (posters, videos, and more) to learn about NDTR, culminating with an invitation to reflect and pledge individual commitments toward reconciliation. There will also be the opportunity to speak with volunteers from across the college community who will be available at the displays and interaction pieces.
For more detailed information on the material found in the education stations, staff and students can visit the NDTR Learning Resource on PebblePad (under “Resources”).
*Note: The stations will only be staffed with volunteers during opening hours, though you are welcome to stop by at other times during the days they are up. More information on each day below.
