The International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination is observed on March 21, 2019 to collectively work towards the elimination of all forms of racism and inequalities. Langara will hold its 15th “Stop Racism event on Thursday, March 21st at 6:30 pm as part of this initiative, organized by the Department of Sociology and Anthropology, Langara College, and Asian Pulse TV.

The event will open with an Aboriginal greeting by well-respected Rosie White Elk, First Nations elder.

Inspector Baltej Singh Dhillon, who became the first member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police permitted to wear a turban
