I have received my MSc in molecular evolution from the Department of Science at the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg, MB) and my PhD from the Department of Biochemistry and Medical Genetics at the University of Manitoba, in collaboration with the Research Institute of Oncology and Hematology at CancerCare Manitoba (Winnipeg, MB). I began my PhD research by investigating the biochemistry and the signal transductions in breast cancers and concluded it with multiple projects on cancer epidemiology, in particular blood malignancies. I continued my interdisciplinary research at the Mayo Clinic (Rochester, MN, USA) where I did a postdoctoral fellowship in Genetic Epidemiology focusing on blood malignancies.

I have published in several peer-reviewed medical journals and presented my work at multiple international conferences.

I completed my  Master of Public Health from Simon Fraser University in 2022. During my degree, I specialized in epidemiology and health promotion. I have a background as a research coordinator with a history of working in Indigenous health, opioid prescribing patterns, social isolation, and infant cognition.

After completing my BA in Health Sciences from Simon Fraser University, I received my MSc in Public Health and Health Systems from the University of Waterloo.  I have experience as a Research Coordinator working with vulnerable populations, and I am published in peer-reviewed journals on topics including the postpartum period, telehealth, and international student experiences in Canada.
