Patricia Aroca-Ouellette
Patricia Aroca-Ouellette, PhD, MBA, is Dean of the Faculty of Science at Langara College and a strategic academic leader with more than 25 years of experience in post-secondary education. She has served Langara in a variety of leadership roles, including Interim Dean, Applied Science Division Chair, Chemistry Department Chair, and Science Literacy Coordinator. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for providing student-centered, collaborative leadership during periods of significant institutional change while advancing academic excellence, innovation, and operational effectiveness.
Patricia holds a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of British Columbia and an MBA from the University of Northern British Columbia. Her work focuses on curriculum renewal, student success, strategic enrolment management, faculty development, experiential learning, and strengthening pathways between education and workforce needs. She is committed to fostering inclusive, accessible, and equitable learning environments and has contributed extensively to institutional initiatives related to accessibility, Indigenous engagement, mental health, and equity, diversity, and inclusion. At Langara, Patricia is dedicated to building strong partnerships and creating opportunities that support learners, faculty, and the broader community.
