Grading policy

Students must complete all components of the course evaluation set out in the course syllabus in order to receive a grade for the course. Students who fail to complete all assignments or who do not write the final exam may receive a grade of incomplete (N) for the course. No modification of the course evaluation is permitted.

The grading scheme used in the Criminal Justice programs is as follows:

A+95-100
A90-94
A-85-89
B+80-84
B75-79
B-70-74
C+65-69
C60-64
C-55-59
D50-54
FLess than 50

Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct defines misconduct as follows:

Misconduct: is conduct that includes but is not limited to the following:

a. speech or action that causes disruption or creates an atmosphere of hostility, intimidation or ridicule, including:

i. speech or action that disrupts the ability of other students to learn and/or the ability of an instructor to teach [emphasis added];

The Criminal Justice Program takes the position that late attendance and the inappropriate use of electronic devices during scheduled class time falls under the definition of “Misconduct.”
