An Employer Day is an opportunity for employers to promote and hire for their paid co-op, practicum, and internship opportunities through scheduled interviews with students and an employer information session

How do Employer Days work?

  • Employers will choose the Employer Day that fits their schedule one month in advance of the promotions
  • An employer information session held prior to the Employer Day, promoted to the target student audience (based on job postings)
  • Langara College will organize the following:
    • Posting the job(s) and collecting job packages (resume and cover letters) on the Langara Job Board
    • Campus promotions will include CCDC Department social media promotions and department outreach to targeted programs and instructors
    • Setting up the Zoom video call links and administration, including student sign up
    • Student interview practice (optional for students)
    • Day of the event Zoom room preparation and administration

We welcome employers who:

  • Offer equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) hiring practices
  • Offer co-op or student work experience opportunities
  • Preferably have multiple types of job opportunities (co-op, full-time, part-time)
  • Preferably have previously attended a Langara career event (career fair, Career Talks, Tech Thursday, etc.)
