This internship has taught me how to better manage my work, how to share empowering comments with people I work with and empathize with their points of view. I think it all can be directly applied in my future work. I chose this specific remote internship program because it's related to my neuroscience studies. With time I found it a great pleasure to build tools that can change the way Jamaican kids perceive stress-management or emotions and that can equip them with self-confidence.

The program aims to empower post-secondary institutions to increase the participation of young Canadians—especially underrepresented students—in international learning opportunities both at home and abroad.
