International Students

As per Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, short-term (less than 6 months) general interest programs do not require foreign nationals to have a study permit [R188(1)(c)] as long as they have a valid status in Canada. While international students are welcome to apply, please be advised that enrolment in this program does not make a student eligible to work in Canada without a work permit, nor does it make a graduate eligible for a post-graduation work permit. International students will still need an approved study permit to begin their studies, even if they do so from outside of Canada in an online setting. For further information, please contact Alexandra Capistrano, International Student Coordinator – Continuing Studies (acapistrano@langara.ca).
