- Admission is open from Feb 1st to Apr 20th. Please notice that early application gives you the advantage of having fewer applicants on more spots available.
Admission Requirements:
- An educational background consisting of a bachelor's degree; or a two-year Diploma/Certificate with five-year work experience.
- Readiness to learn within creative group settings.
Acceptance into the program is determined through the admission process and successful participation in an admission interview.

- RESUME, OUTLINING THE FOLLOWING:
- Educational background (please include copies of transcripts, certification or proof of academic standing).
- Work and volunteer experience
- TWO LETTERS OF RECOMMENDATION:
- Letters from people who have known you over a period of time, and are able to comment on your personal and professional readiness for the program.
- It is best if the letters are sent to you (the applicant) to be included in your application. However, they can be also sent directly to the coordinator.
- PERSONAL ESSAY (DOUBLE-SPACED, TYPED, 2-3 PAGES) INCLUDING:
- A description of events that have shaped your life and encouraged you to apply to the Expressive Arts Therapy Program.
- An assessment of your readiness to undertake this training.
- Expectations you have of the program and what you have to offer.
To submit the completed application for admission: Please fill in the (above) application form and save it on your computer as a pdf file. Save also all the supportive documents on your computer as pdf files. Then send all those documents directly to the coordinator (Ofir Gabay, ogabay@langara.ca). Then, please call the Registration Office at 604-323-5322 and choose/dial # "1" to pay the $40 application fee for the Expressive Arts Therapy Program. You may also pay your application fee through feeportal.langara.ca. All the documents need to be provided as pdf files.
Registration / Continuing Studies Main Office Hours of Operation: Monday to Thursday: 9:00 am - 4:30 pm; Friday: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Note: After receiving and processing your application, the coordinator will invite you (within 10 days) for an interview.
