Jeff Burgess graduated from the Alberta College of Art and Design and has been a practicing illustrator and artist for over 30 years. He has worked for most of the major advertising firms in Vancouver, Calgary, Seattle, and Victoria. His clients have included Intrawest, Translink, Fairmont Hotels, Granville Island Breweries, Dairyland Producers, and BC Hydro and his paintings are in many collections across Canada, the United States, and Europe. Jeff has won numerous awards for both illustration and painting. He was hired by Langara College to develop the Commercial Illustration Program for Continuing Studies.

Adam Briggs has been drawing his whole life. He graduated from BCIT’s Architectural Building and Engineering Program and worked as an architectural draftsman producing construction drawings in AutoCAD format. Having the urge to shift his drawing in a more creative direction, he went back to school for illustration and design at Capilano University in the IDEA Program. Adam currently works as an art director in the advertising industry here in Vancouver. Adam is also a freelance illustrator and fine artist and works with a number of clients and galleries.

Paul Chizik is a Vancouver painter trained in Florence and the USA, his work is strongly linked to historical painting in traditional old masters methods. A drawing and painting instructor for over a decade, he teaches Life Drawing in a variety of mediums such as oil, watercolour, gouache and tempera.

Jeff is currently the President on the Cloudscape Board of Directors and their chief cat herder. He has contributed to all of Cloudscapes anthologies, and has published three of his own 24 hr. mini-comics: Dreamgirl, Dirk Dawson: Cats & Dogs, and Logan: Bicycle Courier. He is also working hard on his webcomic, Teach English in Japan, and his new project Crossroads which is coming soon to the web.

Andrew McDermott received his education from Capilano College in Illustration and Graphic Design. Upon graduation, he studied and further refined his own unique style winning top awards in both Canada and the US. Having many published articles, included The Artist magazine 25 under 40 Andrew has also had full feature articles in top art magazines such as International Artist, The Artist UK, Magazin'art, and the Pastel Journal. Andrew has become well known for his distinctive work in pastels, oils, and acrylics. He is president and a senior member for the Federation of Canadian Artists. He is represented in galleries in Canada and the US.

Pascal Milelli has been working as a professional illustrator for over twenty years. His illustration clients include Vancouver Opera, Scribner Books, Harper’s Magazine, The Atlantic Monthly and the BC Securities Commission. His children’s picture book “The Art Room”, by Susan Vande Greik, won the Canadian Library Association’s award for Illustrated Book of the Year. His work has been featured in Communication Arts magazine and recognized by the The Society of Illustrators.

Adam Rogers, based in Burnaby, BC, is an illustrator with a portfolio featuring a wide range of publications and advertising campaigns who has also worked as a character and layout design artist on animated projects. Aside from his freelance work, Adam is also an instructor at both Emily Carr University of Art an Design and the Vancouver Film School.

Janet Wang is a visual artist working in traditional drawing and painting media, such as oils and egg tempera, integrated with sculptural installations and textiles. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of British Columbia and her Master of Studio Practice from the University of Leeds in England. Her work has been exhibited in Canada, the United States, and the UK, and Janet has been awarded residencies from the Site Gallery and the Arts Council of England as well as the Visual Arts Development Award by the Vancouver Foundation. She is currently an instructor of Drawing, Life Drawing, Colour Theory, Fundamentals of Design, and Design History at the Art Institute of Vancouver.

Drew Young has been working as freelance visual artist since graduating the IDEA program at Capilano University in 2011. His primary focus in figurative painting and mixed media has pushed him to create innovative styles and processes for image making. He’s quickly become an internationally exhibited painter and has received many features in Juxtapoz, Hi-Fructose, Booooooom.com, Supersonicelectronic and BlueCanvas. However, he is not constrained to a fine arts career and works parallel as a commercial artist with clients such as Lululemon, Scion, Blenz, Portside Pub. He received the emerging artist award from the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA). Young has also found himself as the youngest instructor for the FCA and is currently the Visual Arts Director of TedX Vancouver.
