SDT Preparation

We recommend that you prepare for the SDT. Students looking for review and practice material might want to look for ONE of these mathematics books in the Langara College Library. Select the course that you would like to take, and then choose one of the books in that section. If you do not have a Langara College library card, then you can go to a public library and select a book with a similar title. Alternatively, you can do your review work at the Langara Library.

Sample questions from the statistics test

  1. Convert to percentage: 7/16
  2. What is 85% of 75?
  3. If a=3, b=6, and c=-2, calculate ( a - bc ) / ( a2 + b2 + c2 )
  4. What is the square root of 72?
  5. What is the square of 4.8?
  6. For the line Y = -2X + 10, give the value of the slope and the intercept.
  7. What is the value of 10*4? (note that the "*" could also be replaced by a dot)
