Description
Formerly JOUR 1177
Design can enhance or impede a person's ability to process information, so understanding design principles is essential for those working in media. Students explore the principles of design for both print and online publications, using current industry-standard software. They learn how to attract the reader's eye through design elements such as photos, headlines, subheads, and graphics, while conveying information quickly and clearly.
Students will receive credit for only one of JOUR 1177 or 2178.
Priority registration in this course is offered to students admitted to the Diploma or Certificate in Journalism.
