Digital Media & Design
Current
The Diploma in Digital Media and Design is an employment-focused, multidisciplinary program that bridges the gap between technological skills and practical innovation. Students gain the digital fluency and creativity needed to thrive in web, digital, and UI design positions. Design and technology-focused courses build the skills to be successful in visual storytelling, creating, managing, and optimizing digital content, and applying generative artificial intelligence tools in their work. The program features curriculum that develops students’ essential skills, enabling them to pursue further study or evolve in the new global economy.
In addition to primarily project-based coursework, a three-credit capstone course in second year provides an opportunity for students to showcase their employment skills and expertise in technology and innovation to future employers.
The Diploma in Digital Media in Design aims to be a strong fit for high school graduates interested in creativity and design while also creating meaningful upskilling options for mid-career professionals. Pathways into the program have been developed to create new options for existing Langara students, particularly those interested in employment-ready training or further studies in design.
