Description
Students are introduced to criminology as an academic discipline and as a profession. They explore key concepts and terminology, trace the evolution of criminological thought, and uncover how criminology connects with other academic disciplines. Students also develop a critical appraisal of theoretical explanations, research methods, and the philosophical and political foundations of modern criminological policy.
Priority registration in this course is offered to students admitted to the Diploma in Criminal Justice, Diploma in Criminal Justice (BBA Transfer Option), and Diploma in Criminology.
