President's International Entrance Scholarships

For current British Columbia high school students.

The President's International Entrance Scholarships were established to financially support international students coming to Langara College in pursuit of higher education. Applicants can apply for the $7,500 award if they are planning to start their full-time undergraduate studies in the fall semester. Eligible recipients will have $5,000 applied towards the cost of tuition and fees in their first term of study. Recipients must maintain a CGPA of 2.67 and be registered full-time in an eligible program to receive the balance of their award as tuition credit in their second term of study. Eligibility Criteria

Recipients will:

  • Be a current BC high school student in Grade 12 at a Canadian or authorized Canadian offshore school and conditionally admitted as a full fee-paying international student to the Fall Semester 2027 at Langara College;
  • Have studied for a minimum of two years in a Canadian or authorized Canadian offshore school (minimum Grade 11 and 12);
  • Intend to study full-time (nine or more credits) in a regular studies undergraduate program* or in an eligible full-time Continuing Studies program;
  • Have a minimum 80% GPA in Grade 11.

*For the purpose of this scholarship, "undergraduate program" does not include Post-Degree Diploma (PDD) or Post-Degree Certificate programs.

Steps to Apply

  1. Complete the application form below in full before the deadline.
  2. Include all the following in the fields provided below:
    • copy of your offer of admission letter.
    • copy of high school transcript showing a minimum average of 80% GPA in Grade 11.
    • personal statement that describes your reason(s) for applying for this entrance award and outline an academic merit or contribution to the learning community that would qualify you to receive it.

It is the student’s responsibility to ensure this application is completed in full. Complete all sections of the application form below. Applications submitted that are missing information may result in disqualification.
