Let's get this semester started!
Block Party is the ultimate start to the fall semester, filling campus with music, activities, and opportunities to connect. From 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, the front lawn will be alive with performances, interactive stations, complimentary refreshments, and spaces to gather with friends. This is a free, drop-in, welcome (back) event for the entire campus community to celebrate the start of the new academic year.
The celebration officially opens at noon with a welcome from Nk’xetko and remarks from Interim Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Marg Heldman.
Recreational games and creative activities will run all afternoon, ranging from lawn games to hands-on art projects. Complimentary refreshments will start at 12:30 PM with free burgers from Vera’s Burger Shack (while supplies last) and free cake from the Langara Students’ Union at 2:00 PM
