Rainbow Foundation of Hope Education Entrance Scholarship
The Rainbow Foundation of Hope Education Entrance Scholarship was established to financially support LGBTQ+ students who are newcomers to Canada. Newcomers to Canada will be defined as residing in Canada for five years or less.
Applicants can apply for the $12,500 award if they are planning to start their full-time or part-time program in the fall semester.
Eligibility Criteria
Recipients will:
- Be a member of the LGBTQ+ community facing financial hardship
- Be a newcomer to Canada at the time of the application
- Be entering the College as full-time or part-time in Regular Studies or Continuing Studies programs
- Demonstrate a passion for education and a commitment to complete a credential at Langara College
- Preference will be given to Refugee/Asylum Claimants.
The application is now closed. Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by email in July.
