Description
Health and Safety practitioners must understand and apply Canadian occupational health and safety legislation across federal and provincial jurisdictions, including key regulatory bodies, enforcement frameworks, and compliance requirements. Students will examine rights and responsibilities under the Workers’ Compensation Act and British Columbia’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, accident reporting and investigation processes, and ethical responsibilities as OHS professional, protecting young and new workers and preventing workplace bullying and harassment.
Registration in this course is restricted to students admitted to the Post-Degree Diploma in Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance.
