Description
Discover the inner workings of Canada's criminal justice system (CJS) — and its most pressing challenges. Students explore the various components of the CJS, the roles of its principal participants, the interaction between the components, and some of the issues which both facilitate and complicate the administration of just ice in Canada. Students also examine CJS issues facing youth, Indigenous Peoples, women, racialized individuals, as well as topics relating to the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the role of corrections.

Priority registration in this course is offered to students admitted to the Diploma in Criminal Justice, Diploma in Criminal Justice (BBA Transfer Option), and Diploma in Criminology.
