Registration Procedures

There are no prerequisites or background necessary for the educational tour. No travel experience is required.

Individuals wishing to register in this program are required to:

  • Complete and sign an Confidential Registration Form (pdf)
  • Submit a $650.00 CAD deposit cheque made payable to Langara College - for payment by credit card, please call the Continuing Studies Registration office at 604-323-5322
  • Early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment, as space is limited.
  • Once your application has been submitted your deposit will become non-refundable in the event that you decide to withdraw or cancel your intent to participate in this program for any reason.

Costs and Fee Schedule 

  • Price $1935 per person based on single room occupancy. No single room supplement!
  • A discount may be available for those sharing a room
  • Deposit is $650 and is due at time of registration to secure a spot
  • Registration deadline and final payment date 2 months prior to travel

Costs Include:

  • Program registration
  • Pre-trip info session(s) and orientation meeting
  • Return ferry crossing Tsawwassen to Long Harbour as foot passengers
  • 4 nights’ accommodation in Wisteria Guesthouse, Ganges
  • Daily 2-course home-made breakfasts and all dinners in local restaurants and/ or at the Guesthouse Drawing room
  • Private transportation by van and driver as indicated on the itinerary. Some visits are within walking distance (under approx. 15 minutes) and will not include transportation (if mobility is an issue, a taxi can be arranged at your own cost for those visits)
  • Other group excursion fees as identified in the itinerary, e.g. winery tasting and picnic snacks, farm, studio, gallery and parks visits
  • Painting/ sketching Instruction by Langara College faculty
  • Some art supplies: travel size watercolour palettes, water colour and acrylic paints

Costs Exclude:

  • GST $32.25
  • Tips/ gratuities
  • Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages apart from those indicated as included
  • Travel and health insurances
  • All personal items and services
  • Art supplies not mentioned (refer to recommended supply list or ask us for details)

Important Information:

Passports are not necessary for Canadian citizens travelling to this domestic destination

Travel and medical insurances are highly recommended and are the responsibility of the participant to research and secure the appropriate coverage. Check with your health plan, family physician or local travel clinic for advice about traveling.

All participants will be required to sign a release form prior to departure which allows Langara College, Instructors, Staff, Tour Leaders and Contract Services Employees to be free of liability with respect to this Travel Program.

Program itinerary and dates are tentative. Program costs are based on a minimum number of participants and are subject to change without notice. Single supplement will apply to all single travelers. If you do not have a traveling companion, we will be happy to make arrangements for you to pair up with another member of the group (subject to availability). Langara College reserves the right to cancel any program prior to departure without penalty or liability. Cancellation policies vary per tour and tour company used; please contact us for up to date details.
