Nominations

Nominations are to be submitted electronically and will only be accepted during the call for nominations period. Nominations must be submitted no later than Friday, November 14, 2025, at 4:00 pm. Nominations will not be accepted past this deadline.  

Campaigning

  • Campaigning shall be limited to the period between the close of nominations and the day prior to the commencement of polling.
  • Nominees shall ensure that their campaign information is removed from public display (including social media) not less than ten (10) hours prior to the commencement of polling.

Eligibility for Nomination

For the purpose of nomination, any support staff member on the voters list who has an employment contract with Langara College that covers the term of office and who has a minimum of one year’s experience working with admis­sions, registration, graduation, or curriculum at Langara College is eligible to be elected.

Eligibity to Hold Office 

In order to continue to hold office on the Curriculum Review Committee, the following criteria must continue to be met, or the representative will forfeit their position.

During the term of office for the Curriculum Review Committee, a support staff representative must:

  1. Continue to meet the definition of a support staff specified in the College and Institute Act.
  2. Continue to be an employee of Langara College. Termination of employment with Langara College will forfeit the position unless there are exceptional circumstances such as a pending grievance resolution.
