Every Fall semester, the History department is able to grant the Gertrude Langridge History Scholarship to a student who has demonstrated exceptional academic ability in past and current history courses. The scholarship is worth $1,000.00.

To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:

  • be a Canadian citizen, landed immigrant, or conventional refugee with supporting documentation
  • be registered in at least 12 credits in the Fall semester
  • be enrolled in a History course in the Fall semester
  • have registered in at least 12 credits in one of the previous two semesters
  • have completed a minimum of two History courses
  • have a minimum grade point average of 3.5
