The Summer 2026 Scholarship Application is now open. Please complete the form and submit your documents by Friday, May 22 , 2026 at 4:00 pm. Applicants will be notified by email of the results before the end of July.

Please review this application carefully to ensure you meet award criteria and submit all of the documents required for each of the specific scholarship(s) you are applying for. It is the student's responsibility to ensure this application is completed in full. Please complete your application by filling out the form below.

All scholarships require you to submit an unofficial transcript. This document is available for free through the Student Information System. You may need to provide additional supporting documentation. If these are not received by the deadline, your application will not be considered. Students can direct their references to email letters of support directly to finaid [at] langara.ca (finaid[at]langara[dot]ca) on behalf of their scholarship application.

Applicants will be notified of their eligibility by email, by the end of the third month of the term (March, July, November). If you are a successful candidate, you may have your scholarship first applied towards any outstanding tuition.

Please ensure you review your balance with Langara, upon receipt of any scholarship funds. Please note: a T4A will be issued for all awards greater than $500. For more information, please visit the CRA website.

Students who are awarded a scholarship will be asked to provide a thank-you note and sign a consent form allowing the Langara College Foundation to release their name to the scholarship donor. General Scholarship Requirements

Below are the general requirements that you must meet; some scholarships may have different criteria, so please read each description carefully.

  • You are currently enrolled full-time, with nine or more credits at Langara College*
  • You were enrolled full-time, with nine or more credits in the Spring Semester 2025 or Summer Semester 2025 at Langara
  • You have a CGPA of 3.5**
  • You are in good academic standing at Langara College

*If you are registered with StudentAid BC or Accessibility Services as having a permanent disability and/or are receiving academic accommodations, you will be considered to be in a full-time course load if you are registered in at least six credits for the current semester and in one of spring 2025 or summer 2025.

There may be exceptions to the full-time requirement for an award. Please read the scholarship description carefully to see if you can apply as a part-time student.

** Some scholarships have different CGPA requirements. Please read the scholarship description carefully to see if a CGPA other than 3.5 is listed.

Scholarship Details and Required Documents

Anthony & Yumy Ng Foundation Award
Awarded to a student under the age of 25 who is a newcomer to Canada, having resided here for less than five years. Applicants will be first year students enrolled in any of the following programs: Diploma in Accounting, Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting or the Post-Degree Diploma in Accounting. Applicants must demonstrate financial need.

Langara Peace Prize
Awarded to a student who completes a project, which best reflects good research, creativity, and thoughtful consideration of some aspect of human relations among people of the world. Projects must be submitted to the Financial Aid office with a completed application form by June 15 of each year.

LSU Volunteer Leadership Award
Awarded to domestic or international Langara College students who are current members of LSU. Applicants must demonstrate outstanding student leadership or service through volunteerism with LSU or Langara College.

ONNI Gives Award
Awarded to an Indigenous student who is currently registered full-time or part-time in either regular studies or continuing studies. Preference given to applicants who demonstrate an interest in studying or pursuing a career in development, construction, architecture, urban design and planning, or any other studies that contribute to city or community building.

UWCV Women in STEM Award
Awarded to a female student enrolled in a biology, chemistry, computer science, math and statistics, physics and astronomy, or engineering program who demonstrates excellence in leadership, innovation, or supporting their community.

Y.P. Heung Foundation Post-Secondary Awards
Awarded to domestic students who are enrolled in either their first or second year in the two-year Associate of Arts Degree program or the two-year Associate of Science Degree program. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Please note that students are only eligible for the scholarship once per calendar (January – December) year but can receive the award more than once.
