Application Process

If you have a passion for animation, we’re excited to welcome you into our intensive diploma program. Before you start your application, please review our admissions requirements to make sure you are eligible for acceptance into our program.

Preparing Your Application

To complete your application, you will need:

  • A portfolio of original drawings (as listed in the Admission Requirements)
  • Academic transcripts
  • A letter of intent/personal essay
  • A completed application form for domestic or international students
  • Proof of English language proficiency (if applicable)

See admissions requirements for descriptions of the different parts of the application listed above. Once you have the completed all the parts of your application, you can submit your application by email and pay your application fee.

Application Fee

All domestic fees are $40 CAD
All inernational fees are $155 CAD

Application Process

Step 1: Submit your completed application through the Fee Payment Portal and pay your application fee. Email your supporting documents, including your portfolio, to csanimation@langara.ca

Please note: Do not submit your application through EducationPlanner BC (EPBC). 

Step 2: All eligible students will have an interview with our admissions team. For students who are not in the Vancouver area, we will arrange a video teleconference interview.

Step 3: If accepted into the program, a letter of Offer of Admission will be sent by email, after your application is approved and all documents have been verified. Allow approximately 7-10 business days for processing of your application. 

Step 4: Pay deposit.* 

Step 5: Receive a Letter of Acceptance by email. The Letter of Acceptance will be issued after the tuition fees for the first semester have been received.

Step 6: Apply for a Study Permit at the nearest Canadian embassy or visa office**

Step 7: Report to Langara College for your first day of class.

*Note: Tuition fees for International Students are non-refundable and non-transferable for the first semester, unless visa entry is denied.
**International students only, if applying from overseas.

Please note that we updated our admissions process in January 2018. Current or in-progress applications will not be affected by this change.
