Pre-Departure Lecture/Orientation at Langara College (Mandatory): May 6 to 17, 2019 (2 weeks)
Tokyo, Mito, Kyoto, and Koyasan: May 20 to June 10, 2019 (3 weeks)
May6-17 Pre-Departure Lecture at langara College
May 20 Departure (Arrive in Tokyo on May 21)
May 21-May 27 Tokyo:
Asakusa, Edo-Tokyo Museum, Meiji-Jingu shrine, Harajuku, Day trip to Kamakura, various cultural activities, free time on weekends.
May 27-June 1 Mito:
Visit fish market, local high school, kindergarten, factory and small businesses, participate in cultural activities and workshops (tea ceremony and wearing yukata), socialize with Japanese university students,
and much more!
June 1- June 9 Kyoto
Visit major temples and shrines, participate in Zen workshop (caligraphy, meditation), see traditional
performing arts at Gion, various cultural activities, and free time on weekends.
June 9-June10 Koyasan, Wakayama
Stay over night at a Buddhist temple, experience Buddhist meditation, night time cemetary tour, Buddhist course meal
June 10 Dismissal at Osaka (Mid Day)
