Course Description

CHEM 1120 constitutes a first-year course in general college chemistry. CHEM 1120 covers quantum chemistry, bonding, absorption of energy by molecules, applications of structure and chemistry in society.

Students will receive credit for only one of CHEM 1120 or 1121.

Prerequisite(s): CHEM 1118 with "C-" or Chem 12 with "A" or "B" or successful score on Chemistry Diagnostic Test. In addition, one of MATH 1152 or Precalculus 12 with "C" or MDT 75. Prerequisites are valid for only three years.
