Privacy and Records Management is recognized as the institutional authority for all matters covered by Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy legislation. The department provides access and privacy advice to College departments and processes requests for access to information.
Services
Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA): BC’s Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act requires public bodies to conduct a privacy impact assessment for proposed computer systems, projects, programs, or activities that involve the collection, use, storage or disclosure of personal information. Privacy and Records Management can assist departments to conduct an assessment and complete the PIA document.
