Ali Safdari

Ali Safdari, student-elected Board Member, is a Political Science student at Langara College with a strong commitment to civic engagement and community leadership. He is passionate about making tangible changes. While studying at Matthew McNair Secondary School, he led successful advocacy efforts that secured over $100,000 in funding for life-saving AEDs and Naloxone kits across the Richmond school district. He served as president of McNair’s humanitarian club and was an active member of many other clubs, where he helped lead student initiatives and community projects. Outside of school, he has volunteered on provincial political campaigns, worked closely with local trustees, and continues to engage in conversations around education policy and youth safety. He is deeply focused on building a safer and more inclusive future for his community.
