The VOLT Volunteer Fair is returning to snəw̓eyəɬ leləm̓ Langara College’s Main Vancouver campus on January 10, 2024. Since 2009, the VOLT Volunteer Fair has been connecting students with non-profit, charity, and public service organizations to explore and contribute to opportunities where they can make new connections, learn new skills, gain experience, and give back to the community.  

 

Theme for 2023/24: Serving with Purpose

The VOLT Volunteer theme for 2023/24 is: Serving with Purpose. We believe in the transformative potential of volunteering – how a simple act of service can ignite empowerment within individuals and communities. Each volunteer action, driven by purpose and passion, becomes a catalyst for positive change. Through these purposeful efforts, we not only create an impact but also embark on a meaningful journey of personal growth and fulfillment.

Join us as we come together to honor the profound impact of purposeful service and delve into the limitless ways in which each contribution enriches lives, fosters connections, and shapes a brighter future.

Are you a non-profit, charity, or public service organization looking for student volunteers? 

Register as a participating organization and be a part of this high energy event that is focused on connecting organizations with volunteers to create sustainable change in our communities!  We have space to accommodate a maximum of 24 organizations and there is no registration fee.

Do I need to sign up to attend?

For students: No registration is required. If you are on campus on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, between 11:30am to 3:30pm, we encourage you to come to the fair.

For exhibitors: Registration opens on November 15, 2023, and closes on December 15, 2023. Register here!

Do I need to prepare anything in advance? (Students)

To make the most of your VOLT Volunteer Fair experience, we are providing the following tips:

  • Apply for MyImpact
    • Langara College VOLT Volunteer Program recognizes student volunteerism. You need to have a MyImpact account to log volunteer hours. Click here to view volunteer recognition and incentives.
  • Think about what you want to get out of the fair.
    • Being clear on what you want to get out of the fair can help improve your experience and guide how you prepare, and how you interact with others on the day of the event.
