LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that offers training on topics such as software, technology, business, and creative skills. LinkedIn Learning contains a library of 10,000+ videos, and is continuing to add 35+ new videos a week.

LinkedIn Learning is available for any active employee or student with a current Langara email address. There is no associated cost with using this service as long as you remain at Langara.

 

First Time Account Activations:

When first activating your account with LinkedIn Learning, you will be prompted to select one of the following options:

  1. Create a LinkedIn Learning account that is unconnected to a LinkedIn profile;
  2. Create a LinkedIn profile and connect it to your LinkedIn Learning account;
  3. Connect your LinkedIn Learning account to an exisitng LinkedIn profile.

Note:

  • You are NOT required to connect your LinkedIn Learning account with a LinkedIn profile in order to use the service.

On Campus Login Instructions

Internet Explorer

Note: If it is your first time logging in with the new access credentials, you will need to clear your browser history and cookies in order to enter the new Organization URL (www.langara.ca).

  • Go to linkedin.com/learning.
  • Click on the Sign In link located at top right-hand corner of the page.
  • Choose the Sign in with your organization portal option
  • Type www.langara.ca into the box that is below the text “Enter your organization’s URL to login through their portal:”
  • In the Authentication Required box, login using your Federated ID and Password.

After your first login with the new credentials, you will not have to login again when using Internet Explorer on a Langara device. Simply visit Lynda.com and you will automatically be logged in to the system. This is due to single sign-on technology that IT implemented in 2014.

Firefox & Chrome

  • Click on the Sign In link located at top right-hand corner of the page.
  • Choose the Sign in with your organization portal option

  • You’ll be taken to a Langara login page where you will login using your Federated ID and Password.

Off Campus Login Instructions

All Browsers 

Note: if your browser has saved the Organization URL, you need to clear your browser history and cookies in order to enter the new Organization URL (www.langara.ca).

  • Go to linkedin.com/learning/.
  • Click on the Sign In link located at top right-hand corner of the page.
  • Enter your Langara email address.
  • You will be taken to a Langara login page. Login using your Federated ID and Password.
  • Complete 2-factor authentication.
