Langara College's Library and Information Technology Program prepares students for the information age that requires knowledge and skills necessary to perform effectively when challenged with diverse roles and technologically advanced environment.
Our two-year (four-term) Library and Information Technology Diploma Program is recognized across Canada and has been developed in accordance with the Canadian Library Association Guidelines for the Education of Library Technicians.
The program is enriched through the recruitment of students from different age groups and various cultural, academic, geographical, and professional backgrounds. Instructors with years of expertise in the industry foster students' proficiency in acquiring, organizing, delivering, preserving, and analyzing information. Students are also provided with skills in public relations and knowledge on examining new trends in technology that will influence and assist the information industry.
Due to an ever-increasing number of applications to our Library & Information Technology Flexible Participation program, we have enough qualified applicants to fill the Spring 2026 intakes of this program and have closed applications for these intakes earlier than expected.
We are accepting applications for the Summer 2026 Flexible Participation option. Because of the growing volume of applications to our program, we encourage you to apply and complete your application as soon as possible.
