Learn more about the human body and its various systems. These Anatomy & Physiology courses are designed for individuals requiring a preview to further studies in this area, as a review of A&P for career purposes, or as a pre or co-requisite for some Langara College Continuing Studies' Certificate programs. These courses may qualify as an admission requirement (or co-requisite) for other institutions programs; or as a transfer credit or prerequisite to another institution. Please check with the accepting institution to determine transfer and/or prerequisite eligibility. Course outlines are provided below for their review.
These courses provide an overview of the structure and function of the body systems and explore various health promotion strategies that work toward optimal function of these systems.

- Basic Anatomy and Physiology for Bodyworkers No prerequisites required
- Advanced Anatomy and Physiology for Bodyworkers May be taken concurrently with Basic A&P. Students may register if a basic A & P class has been previously taken.
- Pathology Introduction for Bodywork Practitioners No prerequisites required

- Basic A&P for Bodyworkers is offered in all terms: Typically offered in this format: January and September (one evening a week format -Tuesdays for 14 weeks) and also in the Summer term (two evenings a week - Tuesdays and Thursdays for 7 weeks). - Advanced A&P for Bodyworkers is offered in the September, January, and May terms. Typically offered on Thursday evenings for 14 weeks; or alternating Saturdays for 7 sessions). To view current term format see the courses section of this webpage.
