Number of positions: 2

Overview:

In addition to raising funds to support projects aimed to improve patient care and hospital experience for the families and four hundred children that are treated annually at the BC Children’s Hospital Heart Unit, the Triple Crown for Heart is partnering with the Children’s Heart Network (CHN), a provincial, non-profit organization offering support, information, and education to families, children, and youth dealing with congenital or acquired heart disease. Each year the CHN organizes summer camp for families living with congenital or acquired heart disease and is geared toward providing opportunities for children and youth to participate in a wide range of physical and social activities to have fun and connect with others who have faced similar challenges.

Now in our 10th year, a portion of the TCH fundraising efforts will be directed toward the CHN to support bringing children and youth to camp! We are so thrilled that many have been with us along the road to getting better at what we do and donating funds in aid of the cause and we hope you will join us in this expanded funding to a very worthwhile need.

After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, we are gearing up to put on the Triple Crown for Heart ride on July 16, 2022; however to restart the event we need to find a few volunteers to fill key roles. Some of our dedicated, long-serving volunteers have had life changes in the last couple of years, such as welcoming new babies to their families and career changes. Also, many of our volunteers are in the health sector and are unable to make the time commitment this year.
