Transferability

Transferability

The Langara College Certificate will require a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the 40-42 credits, which must be earned in a period of no longer than five consecutive semesters.

Admission requirements for transfer to CEAB accredited Engineering Schools will depend on the recieving institution, and each such application will be considered on its merits. It is important to demonstrate the ability to handle a heavy course load, as well as to maintain a high grade-point average. Generally, students who have completed all of the courses required for the certificate at Langara College, and have shown timely progression, are admitted with a lower GPA than would otherwise be required.

Applications to UBC Applied Science from BCCAT articulated engineering transfer programs, such as that at Langara, are currently accepted with a minimum GPA of 3.1 in the 40-42 credits of the program, which ordinarily must be earned within 12 months and prior to the UBC June registration date.
