Admission Requirements
The application deadline for the Fall Semester 2024 intake for domestic students has been extended to September 3, 2024.
Note: As of the Spring (January) Semester 2025 intake, applications for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) have been suspended until further notice.
Fall Semester 2024 Intake
Bachelor of Business Administration - First-Year Entry
Students may apply for admission to the first year of the degree program with the intention of completing a bachelor of business administration with a concentration in accounting, business management, international business management, or marketing management and/or completing a Diploma in Accounting, Business Management, Financial Management, or Marketing Management. Applicants are asked to declare a BBA concentration or diploma option on their application for admission. The business management concentration provides the greatest flexibility for students who wish to leave their options open in the first year.
For admission into first year, applicants must meet the following admission requirements.

Academic Requirements
- Completion of BC Grade 12 or equivalent, or be 19 years of age.
- One of the following:
- Successful completion of English Studies 12 or equivalent (see note);
- Successful completion of a post-secondary English or communications course for which Langara College awards transfer credit;
- LET (Langara English Test) Level 2;
- LPI (Language Proficiency Index) Level 4 with essay 24;
- TOEFL (paper-based) with a total score of 550 or higher and an essay score of 4.0 or higher;
- TOEFL (Internet-based) with a total score of 80 or higher and a minimum of 18 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 18 in Speaking, and 20 in Writing;
- IELTS 6.5;
- CAEL 60 overall with essay 60;
- Successful completion of LEAP Level 8;
- ELA (English Language Assessment) 145 offered by Vancouver Community College (VCC); or
- Successful completion of VCC English 099.
- Applicants who have completed 24 credits or more of post-secondary study must have a minimum CGPA of 2.33.
Note: Applicants who completed BC English 12 or Communications 12 prior to September 2019 may use these courses to satisfy this requirement.

Bachelor of Business Administration - Third-Year Entry
Students who have successfully completed a minimum of 60 credits may apply to complete the final two years of the bachelor of business administration degree in one of the following concentrations: accounting, business management, international business management, and marketing management.

Academic Requirements
Applicants seeking admission directly into the third year of the BBA must meet all first-year entrance requirements as outlined above. As well, they must have completed a minimum of 60 credits of post-secondary studies with a minimum CGPA of 2.33 in one of the following categories:
- Graduation from one of the following Langara College diploma programs (see note 1 below):
- Accounting;
- Business Management;
- Financial Management;
- International Business Management (program discontinued in January 2009);
- Marketing Management;
- Graduation from another institution's diploma program that is similar to one of the above programs or from a non-business diploma at Langara College. These diplomas must consist of a minimum of 60 credits (see note 2 below); or
- The completion of a minimum of 60 credits (see note 2 below). These courses must be at the undergraduate level or eligible to be used towards a Langara College diploma or associate degree and have been taken at either Langara College or at other institutions (or combination thereof).
Note 1:
Students who have completed one of the above-mentioned Langara College diploma programs, other than the Diploma in Accounting, and wish to enter the third year of the BBA accounting concentration must complete all the bridging courses (see program curriculum) if the courses were not completed in their diploma studies. A minimum "C" grade is required in all bridging courses.
Note 2:
Applications from students requesting admission under categories two and three above will be reviewed by a departmental advisor to determine if some or all of the bridging courses (see program curriculum) are required for their desired program concentration. The bridging courses must be completed prior to admission into the third year of the BBA. A minimum "C" grade is required in all bridging courses.
Program Preference
Preference will be given to applicants who:
- Have completed an accounting, business management, financial management, international business management, or marketing management program at Langara College;
- Apply a minimum of four months prior to the intake date.

- Spring Semester: October 31
- Summer Semester: February 28
Co-operative Education Option
To be admitted and participate in the co-operative education option, students must:
- Be enrolled in three or more program courses (minimum nine credits), not including EXPE 2300 (formerly BUSM 2300/COOP 2300);
- Achieve and maintain a minimum GPA of 2.6 in each term;
- Successfully complete an employability assessment interview with a co-op instructor; and
- Complete EXPE 2300 (formerly BUSM 2300/COOP 2300) with a minimum "C" grade.

Spring Semester 2025 Intake and Onwards
As of the Spring (January) Semester 2025 intake, applications for admission to the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) have been suspended until further notice.
Current and Future BBA Students
The current BBA program is under revision. As the process is completed and a new program proposal is approved by the Degree Quality Assessment Board, admissions to the Bachelor of Business Administration program (including Accounting, Business Management, and Marketing Management) will be suspended beginning with admissions for the January 2025 term. There is no change to admissions to the BBA for summer 2024 or fall 2024. The BBA program will continue to be offered after January 2025 for all students enrolled in the program in any earlier term, including summer 2024 and fall 2024.
Current and Former BBA Students
The program will continue to be offered for all students who were or are enrolled in the BBA up to and including the fall 2024 term. If you are a former BBA student who wishes to return to complete the program, please speak to an advisor regarding your options.
New and Current Diploma Students
The BBA program will continue to be offered for all students who are enrolled in the BBA up to and including the fall 2024 term. If you are an Accounting, Business Management, Financial Management, or Marketing Management diploma student, please speak with an advisor regarding your options for transferring into the BBA for summer 2024 or fall 2024.
Students interested in the BBA program for start terms on or after January 2025.
Students may wish to enrol in one of the diploma programs: Accounting, Business Management, Financial Management, or Marketing Management and continue their studies in the BBA program once admissions reopen.
