Langara College Anthropology instructor, Stan Copp, will join a team of volunteers this month travelling to China with the goal of repatriating the remains of a young US Air Force pilot, Lt. Earnest Garner.
Copp is a member of Moore’s Marauders, a volunteer group dedicated to helping locate lost soldiers. Copp believes in supporting the military, and uses his archeology expertise to help bring closure to families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty.

Copp leads the Langara Archeology Field School during the summer term, where students acquire practical fieldwork skills in site survey and excavation methods.
