Langarans are finding ways to make a difference. While the pandemic has posed many challenges within the College and the community at large, our Langara community has shown compassion, resilience, and a collaborative spirit which has produced innovative work, advancements to Langara’s sustainability initiatives, and a meaningful response to the needs of our most affected. We’re proud of the efforts of our community and are happy to share some of their stories here.

Langara’s student hamper program provided 490 students with over $86,400 worth of supplies and gift cards to help overcome financial challenges faced at the start of school and during the upcoming holiday season.

Since the pandemic began, Langara’s Community Cupboard has provided 2,180 bags of food to the growing number of students facing food insecurity. With each bag supplying food for a week, that equates to 45,780 meals.
